Joshua Scacheri, the creative force behind Brisbane based high-end fashion label Subfusco, is a man whose career in fashion chose him, instead of the other way round. After uprooting his life in Australia and moving to Italy at the age of sixteen to pursue a career in professional football, Scacheri found himself inspired by the Italian culture, passion for life and most of all Italy’s unique sense of style. It was then that Joshua was infused with a love of fashion, mixing a luxurious Italian aesthetic with sharp silhouettes, a rich colour palette and intricate detailing to create his critically acclaimed label Subfusco. Since then he has never looked back.
Scacheri pours his heart and soul into each Subfusco collection and the result is always a brilliant combination of the expected and the unexpected. Loyal brand followers of Subfusco are always delighted to see that Scacheri sticks firmly to his aesthetic of innovative, fashion forward pieces in rich fabrics, but each new season sees Scacheri’s label evolve in fresh and dynamic ways that are the reason for his well earned success. The label’s progression has seen a participation in such events as Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Brisbane Fashion Festival, Penthouse Mouse and Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.
